Learning Strategy & Programme Leadership

Designing learning environments that enable growth and performance

Effective learning requires intentional design, meaningful experiences, and enriched environments.

Throughout my career as an educator and programme leader, I have designed and led learning experiences focused on development, progression, and performance.

Head of Strings — Cultuurhuis Heemskerk

Leading the development of a structured learning environment

As Head of Strings, I oversee the development of string education, supporting learners and educators through structured progression, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

My role involves shaping educational approaches, supporting teachers, and creating conditions where students can develop their skills, confidence, and long-term potential.

Key areas:

  • Designing progression pathways for learners at different stages of development

  • Coordinating educators to support consistent learning experiences and quality standards

  • Establishing structures for feedback, reflection, and continuous improvement

  • Developing an environment focused on motivation, engagement, and sustained growth

Founder & Artistic Director — OnAlti Academy

Creating and leading an international talent development programme

OnAlti Academy was an international educational programme designed to connect emerging musicians with high-level teachers and immersive learning experiences.

From concept to execution, I designed the programme structure, coordinated contributors, and created a development environment where participants could strengthen their technical, artistic, and personal capabilities.

Key areas:

  • Defining programme objectives and designing the overall learning journey

  • Coordinating teachers, mentors, and external collaborators

  • Creating opportunities for feedback, reflection, and performance-based learning

  • Managing stakeholder relationships and participant experience

My Approach to Programme Leadership

Development requires intentional environments

The most effective learning programmes do more than deliver information. They create the conditions for people to reflect, practise, receive feedback, and progressively build capability.

My experience has reinforced three principles:

  • Clear direction
People develop faster when they understand where they are going and what progress looks like.

  • Meaningful practice
Growth happens through challenge, repetition, feedback, and adaptation.

  • Supportive environments
People reach higher levels of performance when they have the guidance, resources, and trust to develop.
